Artifacts

Artifact 1: Project 1 Mindmap
When I was originally trying to work out a research question, I was having a very difficult time trying to find a way to phrase it, and what aspect of nursing I want to touch on. As you can see from the image to the right, I used a mind map, in addition to a graph organizer I found from Liveworksheets. These two forms of organization helped me to gather all of my ideas in one place. Once I picked out "health insurance" as my topic, I used the graphic organizer to piece together each part of my research question. I was even able to brainstorm other questions that I answered within my paper. Even after using these organizers, my research question changed. It was "How is health insurance becoming increasingly unavailable for low-income families?" to the same question just without the "how". These organizers were very helpful in my writing process and I would do this again if I ever get stuck writing a paper.
Artifact 2: Notes on AWR pp. 16-24
I took these notes on the assigned reading from "A Writers Resource" on pages 16-24. In summary, these pages gave the basic over of how any rhetorical paper should be written with everything to include in the paper. As you can see from my notes, everything in the textbook was laid out and easy to follow. I have found that I can use these notes not only for rhetorical writing but any paper. Each paper that I have written has a purpose, audience, context, stance, and genre. Anytime I go to write a paper in the future, I should refer back to these notes to ensure that I am properly delivering the information.
